CAP Ministry
(Caring About People)
The CAP Ministry
was birthed to meet the needs of our congregation, their families
and friends. Caring About People
is so appropriate for Joy's ministry as we are "The
Church that Love Built"! When you love, you care - it's just
that simple. Because God loves us and we profess to love Him,
we have no choice but to love and care for one another, His sheep.
(John 13:35, 1 John 3:16, Matthew 25:31-40)
Under CAP
is the Manor Care ministry. Every fourth Sunday,
immediately after Church services, we go to Manor Care Health
Center on Route 22 West in Mountainside to bring the Word and
songs to those long-term patients, many of whom are seniors. The
Deacons have been assisting in this ministry.
For members who are
sick at home or in the hospital, the Committee will make every
effort to schedule personal visits if notified. For those who
are home-bound, Communion Service for them has been
a blessing for all involved.
The Sunshine
Club, also under CAP, has just begun. This
ministry has the responsibility of sending greeting cards to those
who are home-bound, sick, grieved, celebrating, or "missing
in action," just to let them know that their Pastor, officers,
and fellow Saints send their love, support, encouragement, and
prayers.
